End of the Year 2011

By this time all children are very excited for Christmas Holidays and vacation time. We have been making christmas trees from Pine cones that children collected during their walks. We were still going out for walks and enjoying the cold weather though without much snow .
Children Preparing cookie dough.

 learning math through Measuring....

Developing motor skills and cognitive skills.

sensing the vibration of mixer and developing cognition as well as how machines work.

Enjoying rolling pin and cookikie cutters.

"I made a star cookie",  yeah---
This time.---- Children helped making cookies and decorations for the end of the year party.

Playing on swings and sliding enjoying it being more slippery  because of Snow.

Feeling the cold grounds and digging out grass underneath, which is still green.

 Children making tracks----

watching how some snow is on pine trees where as rest is still green.
Even Little snow pulled us out to enjoy .Children went out as per daily routines and watching the change of everyday weather, learning from Nature. As it  is said by Albert Einstiene, "If you see the Nature closely you will understand everything".

As there were not many animals and birds out side as compared to spring and summer seasons. Children enjoyed our pet bird Tobo, indoors. Playing with him and taking care of feeding him and helping me clean his cage develops their  responsibility and  love of Nature.
