Websites to Enjoy reading related to children's issues.
http://wp.me/plOKZ-4o Read this blog of Fran Simmon's and think over the issues of children being in front of technology most of the time. IS technology better teacher than Nature? my opinion is there shold be a balance in both. Technology teaches us a lot but we have to decide what and when we need to learn from technology.

Building Lego
Playing with legos and puzzles develop fine motor skills in children. Also their creativity and imagination skills develop a lot. I noticed as in this picture all three boys were very focused on what they were making and in their imaginative play. Although they all were playing together, they were sharing a imaginative story plot. This also shows they are learning to co-operate as well as developing conflict solving skills. group play specially when there is a age difference, as out of these three children one is 2yrs, and rest two are 4 1/2 and 5yrs old. They all were showing patience towards each other. The bigger boys were learning to care for younger ones as well as the little one was learning to ask and not snatch.
Children Making Snow Man.
As i always advocate children must experience all weathers and Nature in all times. They should go out and explore Nature in all seasons. They will learn and remember better the seasonal changes and also will learn to enjoy all weathers. The sports of different weathers and how to experience new ventures. As few of my young 4 yrs old friends did go with their parents to experience skiing and sledging in the Park.It was a great learning and experience for them which will stay with them for ever. Our 2-4/5 yrs old children did play in snow almost everyday, except the days when some of them were sick. They enjoyed outdoors, although their hands and cheeks were cold but they were enjoying. This builds their resistance as well as children's physical health improves. Their social skills and problem solving skills improved . They had to find out the way how to make a snow man. one child found a shovel, other brought a plastic bucket out of one corner , so they can easily bring more snow in one go. Seeing the way they solved their problem made me happy and confident of my work that children are developing according to their age in a mental ,emotional and physical aspects along with other learning skills. They made the snow man which we couldn't complete because our little dudes needed to go inside for special private reasons.( potty).

Indoor activities of February 2011
Paper hats. boats turned into hats.
Kids have been very creative in their block play. Both boys want to make special headbands for robots.
Children learn while they play. It is interesting to learn how their minds work. Their play reflects the adult interaction. Both these boys were very imaginative and it did tell they have very positive male influence and interaction at home. They were making tools to help and make work easier, as well as things for underwater swiming etc. Our little group show appropriate social, emotional and physical development. Sometimes adults think what did our child do all day accept playing today.WEll! they learn a lot through play too, while playing they most of all learn to share and be tolerant of each other as well as respect each other's wishes. They develop socially and grow physically healthy. Also during play they improve their vocabulary, and appropriate usage of words. Their judgement & problem solving skills improve.
I have been reading a discussion on one of the websites and the topic was ---- is it ok to teach babies to read. This is a new trend in people now a days, they want their babies to learn to read at very young age..Please do tell me about your views. enjoy the february pics.
